I am trying a different method,i use machines and instead of lifting or pulling down i.e lat machine,i would normaly have say 80 kg for 8 reps =320 kg,now i go 40 kg for 30 reps =1200 kg,i’ll post my own video if this works.

@cameronm100 Gym* .. and also at 12 you shouldn’t be trying to be doing weights, because it can stunt your growth.

i like doing this as a 5×5 shooting 80% of my 1 rep max on the 3rd set

this is normal, your back isnt used to the weight, i would take a month off of conventional dead lifts and substitute straight leg dead lifts (dont bend knees) this should give your back the head start to keep up with your legs and perform heavy dead lifts

January 8th, 2010 at 7:00 pm
how many sets and reps? i assume 4 sets of 8-10?
January 10th, 2010 at 8:25 am
You don’t work in injury prevention. Pain is a sign that the hurt has already been done. You don’t perform other exercises without doing research on form.

it is really simple, i only take workout advice from those who look like what I want to look like…common sense tells you to listen to your own body, it will let you know if your putting too much stress on a joint…just my humble opinion
January 12th, 2010 at 5:03 am
Listen…I am not completely disagreeing with you, but I have learned from trial and error that if you don’t completely flex the muscle at the top of the movement, you WILL NOT get the most out of your workout. Whether or not that puts undo stress I don’t know, I am not a doctor. What I do know is that I have lifted for over ten years and have never hurt myself by locking out at the top of my dips…

im only 12 so i cant go to the JYM so i just use two dumbbells
January 17th, 2010 at 12:33 pm
Would it be better if you combine 2 and 3, doing Celan Press?

Brilliant video Vince. You are right on with your advice. It’s amusing how people place ignorant comments, when you are only trying to help the less educated. Keep up the fantastic work!

nice i like the background music….keep bleeding keep keep bleeding

maybe he didn’t notice, but he was resting more than he should in between exercises because he had to stop and clarify the video.

Squats boost the testosterone in the body which burns stout and increases rapid muscle growth.
People a nice tip hit lower body once a week. no excuses.

I agree..
January 27th, 2010 at 5:10 pm
Where’s scientific proof of this? Sounds like complete broscience. When are at the top of the movement you are pining your elbow joint, thus putting resistance on your connective tissues.
January 28th, 2010 at 10:00 am
behind the neck is terrible for the rotator cuff
January 31st, 2010 at 3:08 am
agree somewhat but to get the most out your tricep you must flex it as hard as possible at the top of the exercise
January 31st, 2010 at 12:24 pm
uh…15″ arms are not small.

February 3rd, 2010 at 7:39 am
Roids….
Watch my newest video to see VinceDelMonte admit he uses STEROIDS!!
February 6th, 2010 at 3:24 pm
It’s because he’s a fitness model and has no clue what he’s talking about. He says to lock out on dips, that’s going to place undue stress on your tendons
